We have decided to postpone all Humane Smarts classes and events until further notice due to the great deal of uncertainty and worry around the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our family’s, teacher’s, and volunteer’s health and wellness are our top priorities.
As soon as restrictions are lifted, we will post our rescheduled dates for classes, series, and events.

The Red Barn series will give our Farm Kids the opportunity to celebrate their handmade, sustainable crafts and build entrepreneurial skills and spirit at The Orchard.
Special 2-Day series Details:
- Ages: 3rd – 8th grade
- 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
- Saturday, March 21st – Planning, Preparation. Students will prepare sustainable, handmade crafts.
- Hand-made birdhouse
- Master Designer Roxy Najafian will be assisting the students as they create hand-made succulent pots
- reusable cotton farm tote bag
- handmade soap
- Saturday, March 28st– Fundraising/Selling. Students will sell their homemade “SMARTS goodies”, share the farm with their parents and visitors.
- Celebration with Chef Suzanne Schaffner from EscoGeloto and Farmer Jack making woodfired pizzas to add extra delight to the kids afternoon of fun and sharing.
- Saturday, March 21st – Planning, Preparation. Students will prepare sustainable, handmade crafts.
- Price per child: $60 per child
Volunteers: Looking for 6th grade – 9th grade students who love working outside, creating, and making. During this series, the volunteer students will help the younger students create their crafts.
